I searched for each of the following names in the "WW II Honor List" (NY servicemen killed or missing during WW II) at the website of the NYS Military Museum and Veteran's Research Center. The only one I found was for John Duffy.

5	IMG-043-005	1941		Armand Starace	Armand is listed in Frank's address book; he joined the Army sometime in May, 1943. According to this article, he became a lawyer and worked for Congressman John H. Ray.

7	IMG-043-007	1941		John Duffy	John was a close friend of Frank's: there are several letters from John to Frank such as #036. He's also mentioned in letters from several other writers. John became a 2nd LT, but died in a plane crash in England on 05/05/1945 (non-combat death) after 31 missions. He was awarded the Air Medal with 4 oak leaf clusters in January of 1946. Presumably he was buried in England for a while, but then reburied back in the US in 1948.

14	IMG-043-014	1941		Aurelius Sclafani	A friend of Frank's ... he went by the nickname "Skip". See the Postcard he sent Frank in Jan '41 and the Christmas card he sent later that year. Skip also attended pilot training along with John Duffy.

19	IMG-043-019	1941		William Flanigan	Bill is listed in Frank's address book. According to an article on 5/27/1947 in the Brooklyn Eagle, he spent 3 years in the Army and was studying to become a lawyer.
20	IMG-043-020	1941		John Collon	John and Frank were close friends; John wrote to Frank regularly throughout the war (See docs #115 or #412 as examples ... he has a very convoluted writing style), and even into the 1950's.  He won a scholarship to St. John's University; after graduation, I believe John was turned down by the Army for physical reasons. He later joined the State Dept.and was at one point vice-consul in Egypt. John died on Dec. 5, 1986.

31	IMG-043-031	1941		Joseph Oussani	Joe seems to have been one of "the crowd" of friends that included Frank, Joe, the "3 sisters", etc. He wrote several times to Frank. One letter from Gen mentions that he was going into the Seminary (this in March '43).  But two other letters, one in late '44 and the other in mid '45, mentioned that he had died. Searches in the Brooklyn Eagle don't turn up any references to him, however.
32	IMG-043-032	1941		Eugene Dembinski	Gene was another of Frank's friends; they corresponded throughout the war. Gene joined the Army in either late '42 or early '43 and had basic training at Camp Davis, NC. Later (in '44) he was shipped to the Philippines.
