Frank's notes on the ownership history of 244 87th Street: Original mortgage was extended, at 3 year intervals, with semi-annual interest payments to Catskill Savings Bank (Mtg #1137). This mtge was finally paid off May 1, 1962 by Frank J. Shields A lien was instituted on Nov 3, 1934 by NYC Dept. of Welfare. On 21 April 1950 said lien amounted to $6000 plus interest. This lien was paid off by Frank J Shields On 21 Dec 1922 Bertha Edwards assigned to Chas Goldsmid a mortgage made by Dora Shields on 20 Dec 1922 in amount of $2500. Book 5327 pg 58 This mortgage was discharged 10 April 1928. |
