Nov 18 - Dear Frank & Anna Just a note to tell you I enjoyed meeting both Jay and Dot. Jay just spent a few hours on Sat and we had coffee and pie- we got fouled up on the dinner as they ate before they came out. Dot stayed the week with me and she seemed to enjoy her visit She is a very lovely refined young lady you should be proud of her. She covered a lot of places while in S.F. and said she would like to live out here. After she got home she wrote me a very sweet note and drew a barn yard scene with a lovely rooster in it as she found out my weakness for them. I took it down to a Frame Shop and had them frame it for me. They did a beautiful job and were quite impressed with her work - it is all in color. I told them she had just finished at the Art Inst in N.Y. and they said she has to be good to graduate from there. It is getting very cold out here in fact it has been that way since Dot left.
