2-1-85- Dear Francis & Anna Late again but so much has been happening - Had my thumb operated on twice in Dec and again in Jan for a ganglionectomy. Try living without a thumb. It is lots better now but still hurts. Frank went back to hospital on Jan 3 and came home in an ambulance on 1-24. The cancer has spread from the lungs to the spine and liver so it doesn't look good. His daughter from Pittsburgh came back to help care for him. He is in constant pain - I call rather than write because his eye sight is just about gone. I hope and pray he won't suffer too long. Went you talk to Gen wish her a happy birthday for me. I'm a Feb kid too! Take care and I'll keep you posted. My love to you both. Always, Margaret. |
