23rd August 1980 Dear Frank, Some weeks ago I got your envelop enclosing the pane[?] with the 50 different stamps. They are one by one little jewels and the colours are beautiful. I thought it such a pity to keep them in the map that I have them framed. This afternoon I fetched it and it's become a really nice picture. On the wooden frame is the orange colour of the birds and between the [?] and the light yellow pass-partout is a narrow piece of gold paper. Many thanks for your original present. Actually, I should have to say that you shouldn't have done it, but I don't. It was nice to receive. In the meantime you will be back from Ireland, that's called the 8th world wonder. I hope both of you have enjoyed the holidays and collected lots of energy. [?] we have to live on those [?] for another one year. Again many thanks and all the best from Joanna |
