Sunday 3/21/82 Vee - I believe you probably received my letter of several weeks ago, asking each of Gen's children to consider taking her for a month, so Ron could get some relief. This is to note that I haven't had any reply from you. I have talked the situation over with Joe, concerning his ability to help. Joe & Marilyn say they can help, provided Joe can take his turn, here at Ashley or down at your house, for 2 weeks at a time on 2 successive occasions. For example, Joe could go to Bowie or here at Ashley for 2 weeks to care of Gen. Then he'd go home for 2 weeks, during which you or I would have her care. He'd then return for his second 2 weeks, and then go home. Then you (or I) would have the next 2 weeks for her care, to finish our turn. With this arrangement, Gen would be 2 months at one location, continuously. An alternative is to take a month on 2 occasions - say in June and December. On each occasion Joe and you (or I) would split 2 weeks each, caring for Mom. Ron has said, since I wrote you, that she would be content to have mom for 2 months running continuously, with one of the remaining 5 of us spelling her for the next month. That is, Ron would take 2 months with Gen, send her for the next month to someone else, then take her for the next 2 months, etc. Please let me have a definite reply from you. We need to plan a schedule for visits. Thanks & love Frank. |
