Dear Dot & Jim,

I sent to each of you the data I had about renting a cottage in Ireland. That was around Jan 13th and I haven't had any positive word from either of you so far, as to whether you believe you want to "join up" for 2 weeks with us this summer or fall. Time is getting short for making arrangements, and it may even be too late. But let us hear from you one way or another as soon as you can.

One thing - I figured expenses in Ireland based on £1 = $2.00. Lately, the Irish "Punt" or pound has been the equivalent of only $1.50 US - so that would be a significant improvement over my calculations - say 25% for exp. in Ireland. So a roughly $288.00 per each Irish expense would reduce to about $220.00 at the revised rate. Of course, my calculations were based on 4 people - and more would improve things somewhat, although a good share of my estimated costs are individual air fare expenses.

I believe Anna & I will try to go by ourselves, for a "bed and breakfast" tour (no cottage) if you both decide you can't go at this opportunity.
