Dear Francis

I phoned your mother yesterday and she said you had gone back to camp and if you heard from me that you would try to make a visit to the country if I were going to be up there.

Well I am and hope to see you. I'll give the directions from Clinton if you can make it Saturday evening I'd expect to get there about 6 P.M. I don't know how to contact you otherwise.

From Clinton, you travel to-wards Bloomsburg or Easton (opposite direction from N.Y.) for six miles going up a long, steep, winding hill to the top to the Caton Inn. There is also a gas station on the right side of the road. Here you turn into a dirt road for a mile and a half to our place. The best way to describe it is by a diagram.

There are arrows on the trees showing the way to Maher's Camp.

If you don't want to travel that far you can meet me at St. Anne's Church in Hampden [Hampton] on Sunday. I go to the 9:30 Mass and it is over shortly after 10. I could pick you up then.
