Dear Madam:

This will introduce you to Mr. Angelo Ciraola of whom I recently spoke to you over the telephone.

His son, John, has been a persistent truant over a long period. And there seems to be little remaining in the way of correcting his habits.

The Attendance Bureau has operated judiciously in trying to make conditions ideal for his adjustment. Much has been done for him socially both in the home and the school. He has been psycho-analyzed and treated at the Mental-Hygiene Clinic.

I am pleased to state he is not a class room problem, as his record card will show. The boy is well thought of by his teachers for he possesses an attractive personality.

May I appeal to you as an intermediary before resorting to the Children's Court?

Mr. Ciraola feels he would rather have his son placed under the guidance of some Catholic Home and is willing to share the expense of boarding him out, if that can be arranged.

I might add in closing that his religious training has been neglected; not yet having received his First Holy Communion.
