I haven't any excuse for not thanking you for your letter and especially the pictures of the 2 boys, "Joe" and "Jay".  I put them in my snapshot book right away. As for your address that was mislaid I am alone these days. Sis usually has vacation these two weeks. So to keep busy I have been going over drawers etc. and run across your letter.

I know you were very good to your mother and will never regret it. God looks after those things. I do hope you will have a girl the next time.

Leona, I never hear anything about people in "77". So didn't even know you had moved. I should think you folks would love out there. We visited out there last year and enjoyed it very much. My favorite ride this time of year is right up from NY to Lake Champlain, then down home. It is beautiful country.

About my family. Tom's wife jenny has a lot of trouble with her back. In June she had exrays and they said she would have to be operated on. Remove ruptured disk and a [unknown]. That meant six weeks in a cast in hospital. They said she should wait till Sept. to avoid warm weather. To make a long story short she was operated on Sept 8, and they discovered she only had to have the disk removed. What a releif for Tom. She is coming along fine and Dr. says she can go with her family Nov 1st. Tom is working in NY city inside office. He is with "Ebasco". They are mixed up with GE Co. International. This time next year they tell him he will be in Japan. He is working on ground work for a large power plant in Japan. They have a furnished house in "Paramus" N. Jersey. It is handy for him to get to office.

Well  you will be tired of hearing our family problems. You see we had a hextic summer thinking of her being laid up so long. I sure am glad thats over.

I was pleased to hear Frank can eat everything now. Thats living.

Maybe Leona, you can't read this writing but I mean alright. Thanks again for picture and give my best to your nice family.
