Am also enclosing copy of a letter from Jimmy. The first since last Feb. Why don't you write him. Radio today announced they were building a large Naval Base on Saipan so maybe Jim will be stuck there for a while. Helen says that's where he is.

Did Foxy write you? Said she was. Etta phoned to see if I could contact Touhey and maybe get some one to cook a meal for a life-long friend of Mary's a Miss Keegan who lives at 377 Eastern Pkway. I called Butler[?] St. but K. White was on vacation so talked to Foxy for a long time. Only suggestions she had was to contact the parish priest and see if some kind hearted soul in the parish would volunteer. That's in Sr. Theresa's parish. Promised Foxy I'd call K when she got back from vacation.

Learned Touhey is up in Maine on a 2 wk vacation. Gil still at Kilmer. In April Touhey told me she was taking her vacation then - why does she lie.

In this 96° me and Pop painted kitchen - some job - Bathroom still to be done. Expect V and Betty home this Sunday.

2 weeks more than vacation will be over - where has the summer gone.

Kezars still in Boston - Haven't seen Gert since Joe was home.
