Shields, Joe
Pelletier, Dot

Tues. July 18th 2:00 P.M.

In St. Pete.

Dear Dot:

Your letter of Sat. July 15th, sure was a pick-up. I'm awfully glad to hear that you will be able to come down Dot. Even though its only for a few short hours I'm sure we will have quite a few things to talk about.

I'm still not sure wheather I'll be able to get an over night pass or not. But don't worry about that. I'll make out O.K. I hope.

Mrs. Conway, the telephone operator here, is from Bklyn, 92nd St. & Ft Hamilton Ave. We got talking & she offered to let you stay overnight with her sister & her. They have a cottage about 5 blocks from the Don. I was planning on getting rooms in town. I figured it would be more private, closer to the train, easier to get meals etc. So let me know how you want it. I think the hotel would be better, but as yet I don't know what room conditions are in town. Do me a favor Dot & send me a telegram Sat. letting me know just what time you are arriving etc. You can send it night letter, Fri night  I'll get it Sat Morn. O.K.

Well thats about all for now Hon. Pray that every thing works out OK. Bye now & be good.

My Love Always

Joe
