Dear Dot:

Oh Dot Honey, you've broken my heart. Gee I was so sure you were going to come. But I guess its all off huh. I got your letter of last thurs. & I was sorta disappointed. But there isn't much we can do about it is there. I'm out of the jug now Dot. They let me out the morning after I wrote you that last letter. I'll be going back to duty soon. I was suppose to go some time this week. But they are letting me stay over next week end, because you were comeing. I'm not going to tell them until the last minute, cause I hate to leave here. Not that I like it here any too well, but I know how chicken it will be once I do leave. I sure hat the thought of it. But there isn't much I can do about it.

I was all fixed up for a medical discharge & I had to go & open my bit mouth & get in trouble, so now they have decided discipline is what I need & they are sending me back to the Army. I'll never learn Dot, if I live to be a hundred, to keep this damm mouth of mine shut. Oh well, there is no use crying over spilt milk. So lets forget it.

Well Hon, that's about all for now. I sure am sorry we can't be together even though it might have only been a couple of hours. Maybe my next post will be some place near.
